Are there Counterfeit Religions?
The short answer is yes! This is also a topic of
identity theft. Shortly after Gods established his church, a magician
named Simon Magus attempted to become an Apostle. He managed to get baptized,
then he tried to buy the gift of the Holy Spirit, but Peter rebuked him
severely. Still, he misappropriate the title and infiltrated the church which Christ
founded, corrupting some of the congregation with his pagan beliefs and
practices, preaching a message about Christ but not the good news that Christ
brought, which is, the message of the coming kingdom of God. This was the first
act establishing the myriad of counterfeit religions in existence
today. This topic is too controversial for me to delve into, so I'll start
my primary topic on genealogy on the next page.
